  • Reverse Telecine Music?

Posted by Randolph Harrison on March 1, 2007 at 6:57 am

New to FCP… I have imported P2 files into a 1080 24p project as instructed. I will also be importing aiff music to use for the sound track from a cd source. Do I need to also reverse telecine the aiff files? or do I leave them in their 30fps state? I assume the latter but just wanted to be sure. Hope this wasn’t too stupid of a question. Thanks for your help.

It is a VERY stupid question!

No…kidding. To those that don’t know, it can be confusing.

Audio doesn’t have a frame rate, as it isn’t a visual format. Only film and video have frame rates. Audio has a DATA rate…44.1Khz, 48Khz…96Khz. Just import it at 48Khz, 16-bit Stereo and you should be set to go.

Oh, and this is the advanced FCP forum. For basic questions you should post here:

    Good luck.
