I just made a plug-in favorite list for a friend, so I’m pasting it here for your convenience:
All the best,
Wayne
The first thing I’d recommend is going through the links here and downloading all the free plug-ins available at the different sites – there is a lot of really great and helpful stuff:
https://www.google.co.za/search?q=free+fcp+plug-ins&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official
and here:

The free Face-Light plug in a GREAT plug in, when used correctly – it can REALLY enhance the look and lighting of interviews:
https://www.haiku.com.au/ [see top right for plug-in download].
For Film-Look software, I think the best is:
https://redgiantsoftware.com/mbforeditors.html
You can create GREAT looks with this stuff – I love it.
It’s expensive and it takes forever to render but if you have a newer machine with a faster VIDEO-card, it will render faster, maybe even play real-time.
I would recommend that Aish buys it, and maybe a few licences of it for you guys.
These are also brilliant plug-ins – some are free, many are only $10, but are worth EVERY PENNY:

There’s some good stuff here:
https://nattress.com/
This is the best DVD-ripping software [for non-encrypted DVD’s]:
http://www.dvdxdv.com
And this is the best screen-capture software:
https://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/
[I think I’ve already put the two above onto the Aish laptop]
And finally, a GREAT tool-kit that I find indispensable is:
https://www.borisfx.com/product/continuum/bcc/fcp/
It’s also expensive, but you can do a LOT with it, including superior chroma keying than FCP native keyer
This should be enough to get you started.
Have fun!
