Hi- I started getting an odd message when saving my projects- “The project has been modified externally. If another user is working on it, saviing will overwrite their changes. Do you still want to save?” This is a stand alone system. Wondering if this might be more serious than it seems or am I safe if I continue to wear my necklase of garlic cloves and keep a crucifix close by?

Just out of interest are you using an other external progs to process your projects? I must admit I’ve never come across this problem/dialogue box before.
I would get out the garlic string…..just in case!!

Im not using any external programs for processing. Of course, I use Compressor and Squeeze but neither of them are open at this time.

I thought the use of an external editor might be the problem, but that would only be the case if you were working on footage directly from the timeline, which by the sounds of it your not.
Have you tried searching Apple’s site to see if you can find the error message listed in the supprt archive?
