io gear is the only thing that I’ve found that works without problems. I went through 5 switches before settling on this one. glad Frys takes hardware back without question.

also, do you have it hooked up to a monitor running 1920×1200?

Hi there! As far as KVM’s go, there are some pretty nice ones out there. Avocent and Raritan are usually the key players in an enterprise KVM setting, but those might be a little overkill for what you need. We have Raritan in our server rooms. I personally haven’t used any IO gear KVM’s, but some people do have them at the office and they do work with scroll wheels, but not too sure about the 1920×1200.

What I would personally recommend are the KVM’s from Gefen. https://www.gefen.com/kvm/apple.jsp. Here’s one that might fit your needs https://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=3113 or this one if you need dual monitor support https://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=4178 . We don’t have one hooked up to our FCP suite, but what we do have are the extenders and boosters, and they work well. They were also very helpful when we initially ordered the 15ft. cables and had “sparkles” in our 23″ Cinema Displays. Turns out that 15ft is just about at the maximum length, before the signal needs to get repeated/boosted.

Just a fair warning, the Gefen stuff can get pricey.

    Hope this helps.
