  QuickTime conversion and “allow transcoding” checkbox in Final Cut Pro

  When selecting to export from Final Cut Pro HD 4.5, and selecting the “QuickTime conversion” option, what does the “Allow Transcoding” checkbox do when you check it (or what does it not do when you don’t)?

  What format are you working in and specification what conversion settings are you using? This option is not normally available.
