  the old question letterbox to anamorphic…

  I know this question is discussed regularly but I’d like to check that my thinking is straight….

  I’m cutting an anamorphic timeline and got provided with some archive footage that’s letterboxed.

  I want to cut in the letterboxed footage but convert it to anamorphic so I can deliver to a broadcaster as a full anamorphic show…

  My route is to scale 133.33 and distort aspect ratio to 33 export and import with anamorphic flag.

  I know I could just scale 133.33 and move the picture but surely that wouldn’t then allow me to put the programme to tape as anamorphic/ make dvds etc.

  or am I wrong (hope I am as it’d save me some quality).
