You don’t edit it. Just Trash it.
Next launch of FCP, it will ask you to enter your serial number and register it.

But why would I do that? I NEED the information in this file as I don’t know my serial number and I can’t download upgrades unless I have a serial number. Sorry but I jumped in on someone else’s thread who had a different reason than mine.

I suggest you find your serial number. That’s why you’re given two of them when you buy the program, so you don’t lose them.
I’ve got mine backed up in text also. And no I won’t send it to you.
:O)

I don’t want YOUR seial number. I have my own but cant find it! And I KNOW it is in the file; just can’t understand its encryption… AND I get no response from tech support (I think they know I am an Adobe Premiere lover!)

February 7, 2007 at 10:50 pmWell…. it seems no one here realises the serial number is displayed on the opening splash screen as well as the ‘about’ dialog. So this is an example of a newbie teaching you veterans something!
