  • Change project from 30 to 24p for online edit…

Posted by Lucas Howe on January 30, 2007 at 10:12 pm

(I searched the archives and didn’t see this one. Truly sorry if it’s a repost.)

I have master tapes on 24p HDCam.

My editor delivered a cut from a DV cam pulldown. His FCP project (as it turns out)
    was 30 fps.

I am doing an online from the 24p HDCams on an Avid Symphony Nitrus. It has to be
    24p.

** What I need is a FCP exported EDL converted from 30 to 24p for the online. **

    Is this possible?

    Please let me know!

    Many thanks in advance.

Export an EDL out of FCP…CMX-3600.

Use Cinema Tools to convert the EDL from 30 to 24 (File>Export>EDL Conversion). Import that new EDL into the Avid.

Thanks so much! I ran it through and it looks like it’s going to work.

    :o)
