I have alot of HD stock footage and i was wondering if there is a program that allows me to maintain and organize all of it. Right now i print my EDL in FCP, but i need something more efficient. Thanks

How about iTunes? I use that for my “inspiration” clips. It’s free and already installed!

I like to print the stock footage I get to tape and then log it into my tape catalog database. I use file maker pro for my database. You put in various info (who shot it, format, date, notes on what it is, etc etc.) Then when I want some footage of say a man riding a bike I do a search in the notes for bike or bicycle & it pulls up anything with bike from Timmy learning to ride his bike to bicycle marathon.

I use Catdv cataloging software. Searchable; can make small preview movies so you can view the footage even when it’s offline; you can print out a catalog with thumbnails. Lots of features.
