  • Copying paths from Illustrator to After Effects

I started working on a project where I was happily copying paths made in Illustrator into Solid layers in After Effects. Somewhere in the process something went wrong and now when I paste the paths, the paths appear but the opacity of the Solid layer stays the same so I cannot see under it. I realized that somehow now when I create the masks by pasting the Illustrator paths the option to change the mask mode in the switches colum doesn’t appear. This could have something to do either with the way the path is being interpretted in After Effects or the way it is being copied from Illustrator…Could someone help me with this? Thanks.
