How do you stop title flickering
I created titles in Photoshop exported as tiff files, and then imported them into FCP 5.0.4. After setting motion paths some of my titles flicker as the move up or down in they frame others don’t. I tried using the de-interlace, it didn’t fix it. My font does have seriphs which I know was a problem in the past (FCP 3) but I thought that had changed, also some of my titles are fine on similar motion paths others aren’t. Any suggestions? The resolution “problems” are not the fault of FCP (3 or 4) but that of the codec and video interlace.Are you editing in DV?
If so, that can result in very poor rez and artifacts in the fine details.If you are ROLLING the titles, you simply WILL have problems with flickering unless you are rolling at an exact match with (or multiple of) the interlace (TV lines).
If you are positioning the titles, you must make SURE they have a vertical position of an EVEN, WHOLE NUMBER in the Motion Tab.
If you have too small a size font and/or one that has fine details, it will flicker.
Try adding a bit of Gaussian Blur to the title clip to smooth it. -
Do a search of the posts. Your question has been asked, and answered soooooo
many times. If you did them in Photoshop, add Motion Blur (vertical-only) in PS, set it at 1 or 2,
that should be enough. Follow the previous advice for crawls.

… and make sure you render, and are not simply watching a preview quality version of the moving graphic …
