Hey everyone, quick question. I believe there are keys which you can press while opening a project that either disable your prefs or close all of the open comps, which may help open a corrupted project. I’ve tried using ‘the google’ but to no avail. does anyone know what the keys are, and what they do? thanks ya’ll.

Alt and Shift. Shift closes all panels, Alt supresses all error messages and resets the prefs. Or was it the other way around? Never needed to use it. I usually have a incremental project to go back to (lucky me!). ;O) Best of luck.

You could also try importing the corrupt project into a brand new project while the caps lock key is enabled to freeze the redraw.

Hey Jaymen, thanx for looking into this. Chris and I were just talking about this problem today. Unfortunately neither of the suggestions here worked for opening my corrupt project (luckily there wasnt too much work to recreate in another new project) but it would be nice to know for future reference. From now on it looks like incremental saving is the way to go.
    Thanx- Matt
