    Hey there,

My office has recently purchased the Cannon HL-1 HDV camera.
Has anyone imported and edited footage from that particular camera into Final Cut Studio? How does FCP and other programs handle HDV fooatge?
Also, am I capable to burn HDV footage onto a 4.7 disc using red lazer technology?
    Thanks for your help.

A good start might be to read my article on editing HDV in FCP in the current issue of the Creative COW magazine:

    Free too!

FCP 5.1.2 now supports everything that camera shoots I believe… the article was written before that support was available.
