I”m getting this error message when I try and paste vector data from Illustrator CS2 into the ‘Brush position’ field of the Write-On effect:

“After Effects error: attempt to get an item address from a position outside of list length.”

    Help anyone?
Really don’t want to have to mask this sucker…

You don’t want to paste the Illustrator data into an AE mask, then paste the mask shape into the write-on position data?

Tried that, although I usually always paste directly from Illustrator…. just seems to be producing more masks in the layer… at a loss

    thanks for the reply
