I asked this in another thread and it didn’t get answered.

I’ve searched and nothing came up so here goes.

That slider at the bottom of the timeline window in fcp.

Does anyone know why from time to time when you go to click
it and move it around that it freezes and will not move?

I’ve had it happen once in awhile. Another editor mentioned it as well.

What causes it and how can it be fixed?

It is really frustrating when it happens in front of a client.
