Rendering/Previewing Mystery
Hello all,
I’m pretty stumped regarding a problem I’m encountering in AE 7. I’ve created a composition with quite a number of layers (30+) and a light that involves some flashy text and some 3D rotation, etc., etc…
To jazz it up a bit, I thought it would be nice to apply some motion blur to a few select layers. Naturally, I anticipated a slow down in rendering time, but I had already timed out all the movement and got everything looking how I wanted it. The motion blur was just some icing on the cake.
Trouble is, once I apply motion blur to the layers, everything starts to render funny. Layers that were fine before start to disappear and reappear in inconsistent intervals. As long as the motion blur is off, I can preview and export from the render queue and everything looks fine. But once I enable motion blur, it won’t preview correctly, nor will it export correctly.
Is this a known issue? Does anyone here know what might cause such a problem.
My computer has 2Gb of RAM, my video card is a BFG NVidia GeForce 7800 with 256Mb.
I know that there can be rendering glitches while previewing if you use OpenGL, but I’ve got fast previews turned off and I still get problems.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
