  Reading 5.1 FCP files in 4.5???

  I know that you cant revert the project back once you’ve saved it in the newer version, but i just need to open the project.
  Is there any possible way to do this? This intel thing is driving me crazy.

  They are not backwardly compatible. The new file format has lots of stuff in it that the previous version cannot understand.

  You can export via XML. Sorry, I have no clue how to do that but there are dozens of posts here on the topic and I think it’s covered in the manuals.

  the best thing to go is do the crossgrade on your 4.5 for $200, jut do it quickly it ednd on the 20th
