I remember reading a great tutorial about how to animate the camera through 3d space. It may have been a “tour of the planets.”

I am trying to enliven a somewhat turgid corporate show of old video and stills, by placing them in 3d space as if they are stuck to vertical poles — and then take the camera on a tour through them, showing effects of distortion and defocusing as the camera passes them by.

I’ve looked through all the tutorials on the COW, and either I’m not reading them right, or the tutorial has disappeared. Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks.

Sounds like you’re looking for Trish Meyer’s tutorial from the Creating Motion Graphics book.
