    hi one and all,
i’ve just started using afterfx on a laptop, and the most common keyboard shortcut, the 0 on the numeric keypad for a ram preview, isn’t available…. unless of course i do fn-num-lk first, which isn’t really a shortcut anymore.
    so what do YOU do?
    thanx,
    d

I don’t know. Maybe use the Play button in the Time Controls panel.

I find on my laptop if I set num lock on (ie permantly) the keyboard still works as if its letters, but because num lock is on I now only need to do the Fn key and the 0 key (m) with out needing to press num lock key to do ram-previews.

Dont know if this is how your working at the moment or if your keyboard works in a similar fashion. Ive got quite used to it now though and use the Fn key like shift or ctrl, like I say though I have my num-lock always on.

    All the best
    Chris
