  Green Screen Interviews

  Hello,
  We used a green screen to do some interviews and used the blue/green screen filter and it looks great but on some of the interviewers the hair becomes an issue. The strands of hair don’t pick up the background that well. Is there a way to get rid of the remaining green? I try to get rid of it but then end up losing some of the persons ear or skin.
  Any tricks or filters I can download that might help me out?

  I know it’s expensive, but after trying the others we went with
  Ultimatte Advantedge plug in. It’s available for $1200 from bluescreen.com
  Made the best key by far, with DV 411 (DVCPRO source) and with 422
  from a Digibeta source. Head hair was a big difference with
  Ultimatte. Looks very realistic. FCP keyer not in the same league, sorry

  I get amazing chroma-keys with my SONY DSR-170 and my BlackMagic video=card. I record in 10b Uncompress the Video-out, what is a full broadcast composite video signal. The image I get is millions of miles away from the one I get recorded in the tape, and to make the chroma is really easy in AE or Shake. Of course, I need to have my CPU no far from the camera.
  Anyway, if you have to make a chroma-key from DV footage, try to apply a Chroma-resampling filter, or blur (horizontaly only), the blue channel, or green if you are working with a green screen. just a bit.
