I am looking to import stills into a sequence of source material shot on HDV. I need to know what specs to ask for from the owner of the pictures. How big should the dimensions be so that I can zoom in on them without losing any quality and so they will pass final QC?

    Thanks in advance.

Get stills with at least DOUBLE the dimensions that you are working in. 1080…have them be 2000×2000….or even better, 3000×3000. Eh, even with a 720 project I’d want them that big, but you don’t zoom in that much 1500×1500 is fine. And while DPI doesn’t matter really, ask for 300DPI.
