camera movements and zoom outs
Im wondering what is the best way to make these camera movements you see on commercials like for a ketchup commercial you see tomato’s or something like that and then you zoom in or out and see the tomato pops into the ketchup bottle and you see the bottle then zoom out from it
they all different comps so whats the best way to organize it?
i hope i make this clear you can see this on almost every commercial there is its all the cuts from image or video to another?
are they all in 3D space and the camera moves between them or any other way?

It might be helpful to find an example of what you are thinking and post a link to it so we know exactly what you mean. I think you might be dealing with 3D applications here, especially if you actually go “inside” the ketchup bottle. The tomatoes might be video placed strategically in 3D space in AE, probably green screened. Like I said, it’s hard to help you without dealing with a specific example.

Yeah, you would need an example. Most food shoots are shot by speacialist director’s that usually have their own motion control rig. They preprogram the move and focus pull so that it can get really close and precise to the food and repeated over and over. They also often use a frasier lens (or borscope) so they don’t have to get the camera so close, just the lens itself.
If there are tomatoes flying INTO ketchup bottles, then it’s probably 3D.
