  Text doesn’t appear

  My boss wanted a split screen and I used the cropping tool to accomplish this result (cropping two videos in two different tracks in the timeline so that one cropped one appears on the left and one cropped one appears on the right. I put a text in white that was needed for the subtitles and it seems to have no opacity when I play it in the canvas. When I look at the opacity in the appropriate tab of the viewer for this clip, however, it is 100%.

  The same text, if put on the timeline with different clips appears fine.

  Don’t know how to troubleshoot this, can you help?

  Did you put the text on a video track ABOVE the other clips?

  Yes I did. Was that a mistake?
