Quote from the Shake – Late breaking news.

I’m new to Shake, having just loaded it and don’t understand what Apple are trying to tell me here.

So for a round trip do I have to do anything in FCP regarding gamma changes?

    Thanks

    Alan

Issue: When importing a QuickTime movie created with Shake into Final Cut Pro,users may notice a difference in the displayed gamma of the image. This is because Final Cut Pro automatically lowers the gamma of sequences playing in the Canvas on your computer

    Alan,
From reading the quote you posted, I wouldn’t think you need to do anything anywhere… especially if you’re watching this on an external display. They’re just saying that FCP and Shake display gamma differently. Neither actually does anything to the clip unless you tell it to via some filter or node. The article just says that the same clip will look different on your computer monitor from FCP to Shake. No worries, but good to know.

Thanks Zak, that’s how I ‘half’ read it but nice to have it confirmed
