I received a 720P 24 fps QT of a :60 that had the dvcpro hd 720P60 codec. I opened up this QT on my kona 2 mac and played out to d5 at 720P. Since my video switcher was having trouble with 720P, I thought of uprezzing the codec-ed QT to a 1920×1080 uncompressed QT for output to a 23Psf tape. It is here where I noticed that the new QT was brighter. I also exported a regular size uncompressed QT and got the same results. I also tried a kona 3 mac and got the same results. Its not a Kona video out issue since I have copy & pasted from QT to photoshop to campare them.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
    Tom

Are you going from SD to HD or HD to HD. I am sure that you know that they operate in different color spaces.

The job was hd so first I had a 720P QT. But due top other device issues, i tried to work with HD 1080 23Psf.

According to marco solario’s site, this is a FCP bug:

I’m not sure what the workaround is (if there is any).
