  Card Wipe question

  Hi,
  I am using Card Wipe on a mosaic that I want to fly in and land on a picture. I get everything…it’s working fine EXCEPT, the pictures doen’t just come in and land. They seem to be “bouncing” up and down. I can’t seem to figure out how to movie them form the top of the screen and then down and that’s it. They keep bouncing until they land. I’ve tried the different seetings, but I can’t seem to get it right. Anyone know the magic way to do this?

  These may be oversampling artifacts ‘cos the plugin can’t decide which pixels go to which card. Not really much you can do about it. You could try to scale up your footage to twice the size in a pre-compand of course double all your sizes for the cards and Mosaic. This should improve the situation a bit. Then simply scale ther pre-comp-down again. When scaling up, set the layer to draft quality so pixels are only doubled, not interpolated, to maintain crispness.

  Thanks for the response Mylenium! I tired this and it still doesn’t work. I am attempting to do something like this:

  But, mine is just all bouncy. Any other ideas?

  Ah, so you mean Card Dance, not Card Wipe?! In that case most likely your brightness of the driver layer (the Fractal noise) is fluctuating at some point. Maybe it’s too small in size, maybe it’s moving in some way or the Levels effect is shifting the colors from plain b/w to greys. In that case you’d simply have to adjust those parameters or apply additional effects to compensate.
