Using 75% PhotoJPEG for a project, and just noticed luma shifts (looks like in the blacks) on effects as simple as dissolves. Had timeline renders set to RGB, didn’t see any shifts during RT playback, but did after rendering. So I switched the timeline render to 8-bit YUV, and now both RT playback & renders look fine. Question: I thought 75% P-JPEG was 4:2:2 RGB, so wouldn’t RGB rendering be correct?

[Bob Woodhead] “so wouldn’t RGB rendering be correct?”

No. I think Apple made a change in the codec at some point. In earlier versions I think it defaulted to RGB rendering, but resetting to YUV is correct now.
