  • Reformat Lacie drives from MS-Dos to Mac

    When mounting 5 drives from someone to cut a doc, I discovered 2 of the drives were formatted for MS-Dos.
    Those clips won’t play back correctly and they’re loaded with stuff. Do I have to erase everything to reformat?

    Yeah, you are screwed. If these are firewire drives, its probably better to just buy or borrow another drive, then copy everything to it , then re-format the original, then move the media back..then repeat for the second drive. Or it may be quicker to just recapture. Not sure how much material we are talking about. Firewire drives are not very expensive these days.
