  • AGP Graphics Card Missing on IMAC?

Posted by Sucream on October 26, 2006 at 1:01 am

    Hello.
I just got my new 20inch IMAC delivered.
It’s basic specs are: 2.16mhz, 2GB Ram with 256 graphics memory.

Upon instaling FCP HD on this machine, I got (( AGP Graphics Card Missing))
error message. Is there something that I should know to get this FCP HD
    work on this machine?
Your advice will be GREATLY appreciated.
    Thank you!!

    #29: Need AGP Graphics card

    Shane’s Stock Answer #29

    You either need to either:

    1) use the following hack –

    or

    2) Upgrade to FCP 5.1

Well since he’s running a 2.16 ghz 20″ intel imac I would guess it’s the latter. Gotta upgrade to FCP 5.

    Thank you Bret and Shane!!

Oh I have to tell you that this is my worst nightmare….
I wanted to avoid upgrading to FCP 5 and its happening I guess…
Do you have any idea in which version of Tiger that FCP HD will run?

I’ll try the hacking thing that Shane offered.
    Thank you guys!!

I went to the website that you provided and it said,,
G5 that was released from late 2005 and IMACs with isight(which is mine) has a new graphics card installed and therefore FCP 4.X will
    not run on it…=(

    this is sooooo despressing….
but thank you so much for your help!! =)
