This is driving me nuts, I’ve had this enclosure for a few months, it just starts beeping intermittently, the mute button doesn’t turn it off for long, and there seems to be nothing wrong with the 4 Hitachi 500 gig drives, no data lost, drives work fine, DiskWarrior sees everything, so I wonder what this is? Cable issue? Card issue? What?

Maybe it is a temperature alarm. You could check that any fans are working correctly (fans frequently die). Maybe you could stick a thermometer probe in there to see if it is over some heat threshold.

    Chris,

Definitely call Kim and let her diagnose the problem. Maybe they’ll send you a replacement?

    Hey David,

I am in touch with her as we speak. She’s having me monitor the heat and fan lights, so should have this figured out soon. Thanks!
