    Hi!
I wonder if somebody can explain to me were I can find more free videotutorials or tutorials to final cut pro 5,0? I want to learn some effects like “playing back the tape” you know when the watcher can see when the tape “plays back” . And how do I create effects like one white colour comes on the scene and suddenly you see another scene.

    Example:
One kid will die soon and the paramedic people helps him to the hospital , and when the doctors are trying to help him , suddenly the kid sees white (white colour over the scene) , and that he sees this very fast. ….. HERE…. , like he

A lot of what we do in Final Cut Pro we find by “playing around” with it…getting to know how it works and finding the effects, or figuring out the effects based on your playing. Now…

[Armin T] ” I want to learn some effects like “playing back the tape” you know when the watcher can see when the tape “plays back””

Sorry, I don’t know what you mean.

[Armin T] ” And how do I create effects like one white colour comes on the scene and suddenly you see another scene. “

Dissolve from your scene to WHITE. In the Viewer click on the “A” drop down menu and choose MATTE>COLOR. Make the color white. Now you will have a bit of white media that you can dissolve to, then dissolve back to your next scene.

[Armin T] “but how do you make the sound from his ears? That you hear from his ears ” come on Michael you will get trugh this” …. change the voice sound like one echo”

Start playing with the audio filters, see what each does.

Or he could simply choose the Dip To Color effect and change the color to white.

Ahhh…REWIND. This must the the language thing. So you want those lines that you see as you rewind a tape? I haven’t done that, but it seems like something you’d have to build in Motion. You need some program that can create images….and FCP isn’t designed to do that.

LOWER THIRDS – In the Viewer, in the “A” menu scroll down to TEXT and choose LOWER THIRD. Then click on the CONTROLS tab to type in what you need. Even better yet, use LIVETYPE to do this. It has lots of presets for lower thirds, and the manuals go into how to do this, step by step.
