  Display Unavailable…?

  Never seen this before: another editor is working on a really simple cut, trying to get a transistion from a nest:

  Orange window with white text: “Display Unavailable. Close and Reopen window to restore.”

  After which doing anything else results in a crash. We exported the nest as self-contained, and brought it back in to get around the problem…. I’m guessing it’s a nest issue… nests are such junk.

  FCP 5.1.1
  DV Media

  One behavior of nests is that they are like subclips. FCP assumes there is no available media past the end of the nest… maybe there’s something there that’s causing the problem.?

  Never seen an error quite like that, what exactly did it say and how could I reproduce it?
