  Problem started with print to video

  I Installed FCP 5.0 and everything was going fine until I tried to Print to
  Video a finished program. The best way to describe what happens is that the
  video coming onto my deck (camera screen) and tape being recorded flickers
  or flashes a partial frame of video and audio quickly as it is running. Now
  it even does it when just playing the video in the timeline or canvas. I
  went through all of the settings, even deleting the prefs and turning off
  Mirroring, but it continues.
  Next I tried a shorter program so I could try different things. It was
  first created in 4.5 so I had to upgrade it to 5.0. Same thing happened, so
  next I tried creating a new project in 5.0. I captured some video clips
  which play back fine in the canvas but still flicker and flash on the deck.
  Plus I have no audio playing out the computer or deck (camera). I know it is
  there. I can hear a bit of it once in a while when I move the play head
  marker. Any suggestins on how to correct this problem?

  Borrow another camera or deck and see it that works.

  Sounds like its camera or FW related to me, but from out here in deep, dark cyberspace, its hard to tell.

  Make sure you are updated at least to 5.0.4, there were quite a few bugs in 5.0. also make sure the timeline is selected or highlighted and no effect parameters are in the viewer. For some reason this caused strange playback issues on my Dual 1K G4.
