  not seeing tape machine

  Hi All:
  I know this has to be something stupid, but I went into capture mode and I cannot see my dsr-ll (hooked up by firewire. Any ideas?

  ps yes the firewire is connected.

  Did you upgrade QuickTime lately? If so, this could be your problem (and your salvation!):
