Posted by Ric Christoferson on October 2, 2006 at 6:10 pmDo the Renderings with 5.1.2 seem much slow to you guys???
What use to take 15 seconds now takes about a minute…
I don’t know what I’ve missed, repaired permissions and everything but still slow…

October 2, 2006 at 6:17 pmWhat are you rendering? Have you changed your sequence render settings (from normal to best, perhaps)?

October 2, 2006 at 6:32 pmI’ve always run with 100% frame rate and 100% resolution… it just is slower..

October 2, 2006 at 6:52 pmNo, not those settings. With your timeline selected hit apple-zero to bring up the sequence settings. Hit the video processing tab and see if it is set to best or normal. Best takes longer to render.

It should be set to Best, normal always gives you some added compression.
As for rendering times, I’m noticing no slowdown at all. Either about the same on our G5 machines to noticeably faster on the Mac Pro.
