  Offline 24pa

  I am using FCP 5.04 so I’m not sure if the new 5.1.2 version allows this.

  Is it possible to capture 24pa footage from a dvx100a at offline RT? I looked for this about 6 months ago and it seemed like there wasn’t an option. Curious if that has changed. Or is there a fundamental reason why this is not an option in Easy Setup?

  There IS a point in capturing DV at offline RT. If you have a TON OF FOOTAGE. Mark Roudonis at Bunim/Murray runs a facility where they do this all the time. Why? Because they edit THE REAL WORLD for MTV and there are HOURS of tapes a day. Even with 47TB of storage, they have a lot of footage to capture. So yes, there is a point.

  But offline RT for 24PA? Dunno.
