• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Help!!

  HI All,
  Crazy Problem, I am running a 17″ Macbook Pro 2 gigs ram and FCP5.1.1
  Everytime I try to boot FCP I get to the project screen, it asks me to pick the type of project and where I
  want my scratch disk. Then after a few seconds it quits. No crash just quits. If I run FCP rescue it says I have
  corupt prefs. But I am never able to run the app. All the other apps run fine. Motion, DVD Studio Pro,
  I have even done a reinstall of just FCP and redone the registration. No help.
  Any Idea’s

  Did you previously run FCP rescue to give it a set of good prefference files to replace corrupt ones with.

  if ot you need to just trash those preffs

  Oh Yes,
  Trashed Prefs every time.
  Did a reinstall of all the apps.
  Next i’m goiong to try to replace the os.

  Did you repared pemissions of your’s system hard disk?

  Yes,
  I repaired permissions after the first crash out and several times after,
  I repaired them again, everything was clean, then I did a reinstall of the apps.
  The only thing I haven’t done is reinstall the OS, whech is my next step.
