This seems to be not my day! Now my Edit to Tape is whacked out. When I call it up, all I get is video static in my JVC Monitor. I can see the output of FCP in the same monitor when the Edit to Tape is not up. Everything was working fine until I downloaded the 5.1.2 fcp update. I, of course, did not load the update…couldn’t since I am only at 5.0.4.

I have repaired permissions and trashed prefs.

Everything is selected correctly as I can see. Another streange thing is that during edit to tape, when I select the Mastering tab or Device tab, bars are sent to the monitor and I can see them. It’s just when I select the video tab that the static shows up.

Using Kona LS thru the KL box, Beta SP. No cables have changed and nothing on the deck has changed.

Before opening the ETT window, reselect your easy setup for that current sequence. What’s happening with your deck when you open ETT? Is it in E-E?

Checked the deck and it’s fine. Another strange or 2…When I do nothing with the ett window open, video will pop up and move a bit then go to black. Sometimes video from 2 different timelines will show. Printo to tape works fine. Also when the window is open and I click on the timeline, bars resume since that is what I have selected in my Kona control panel. The only thing I can figure is that yesterday I downloaded the 5.1.2 update stuff. I did load motion and livetype and proapps. I couldn’t load FCP since I did not have the crossgrade.
