Okay so I am reading all the threads about 5.1.2 I am sitting at 5.0.4 Studio and need to upgrade to 5.1 first. Am I reading Apple right that I have to print a PDF and send in 49 bucks through the mail to get the universal upgrade?

That is correct. But before you send them off, make disk images of them (using the disk utility) so that you have backups in case they are lost. INSURE THEM when you send them in.

And don’t worry about sending in your Live Type Data DVD’s or your Sound Track loops. Just send in the Install DVD’s of your programs.

Took me 7-10 days to get my new Universal Discs. Apple sends them via Media Mail which is not trackable or very fast!

Mine was an 8 day turn around last month. I sent my 5.0 disks insured from the post office, and the new disks came back via UPS.
