We’re planning a feature to be shot on either the PanaHD200 or the Canon HD. IS there advice for a long time shooter, but newbie to digital film out processes? Has anyone done this with with either of these cameras? I’m also interested in learning about the post processes, since I’ll be cutting in FCP. (I’ve been using FCP professionally since FCP 1.0 came out. I’m familiar with the software, but not filmout processes..)
    Thank you all.

The Panasonic HVX200 is a wonderful camera for just such a project BUT you really need to use it with a Firestore drive or a Citidisk drive. When importing the dailies into you FCP system, its paramount that you organize your media because of the naming convetions of the Panasonic camera. Editing is a real breeze but the film out needs to be discussed with your film transfer company of your choice. Each has standards that needs to be met for them to properly output your video to film.
