  HDTV to DV50 media manager??

  I have finished editing a HDTV 1080i show and now I have to do a media manager of my main sequence to DV50 (for broadcast tv). I selected the sequence and tried the media manager recompress to DV50… But the resulting quality is not nice. There seem to have problem with field dominance when recompressing my HD material to DV50. Especially in close up’s of moving objects…

  Doing a DV50 QT movie of my HDTV sequence looks great and there are no field problem, which is normal since a QT movie is made from the HDTV sequence and so the field dominance is not taken into account…

  Any idea of how I could do a media manager (downscale) of the material and not having this problem without having to start from tapes again??

  Are you trying to create a 16×9 or a 4×3 DV50 version of you project?

  I am trying to do a DV50 NTSC anamorphic version of my project…
