so, I have two machines with the exact same version of final cut studio installed, which is the latest version. One particular project will only open on one machine, while the other gives me the “File’s format is too new for this version of the application error.” what gives?

I only have problems with this one file, but I’m concerned that it may become a larger problem in the future.

Have you tried a ‘Save As…’ to create a new copy? Also, check permissions for the file, repair if neccesary.

no, I haven’t tried that yet. I’m actually away from my office and my primary machine at the moment, and was hoping for a solution without having to wait until I go back to it.
