  • minor question about FCP cropping and bordering

    Hi all,

minor question- I’ve been cropping some video images for a split scren effect and my client wants them bordered. It seems FCP allows you to border/bevel the original 720/486 plane only. I know avid allowed to border whatever image edge you had, cropped or not. Is this this a simple limitation of FCP or is there a short cut or setting (or even a plug-in) to fix?

The border is on the edge of the wireframe not on the cropped image. There is a plugin from CGM that does this. You can also put a color matte underneath the layer and crop to a slightly larger size to create a border.

    All the best,

    Tom
