  • Encoding a MPEG2 Program stream at 25 Mb/s

I’m trying to encode comercials that will be telestreamed as an MPEG2 file with a data rate of 25 b/s on my MAC. Can I encode such a file using Compressor out of FCP or do I have to use another software application to take the exported Uncompressed Quicktime to the needed MPEG2 file. This file needs to be encoded as a program stream and I haven’t found any information that shows a software capable of creating files like this on MACs.

I understand that there is hardware such as “Telestream ClipMail Pro” that creates real-time encoding, I was just hoping that there might be a Mac Based encoder out there that I haven’t heard of.

    Thanks for you help!
