  1080 25p capture into 720p 25

  Hi fellows,

  I have to capture some footage shoot in 1080/25p
  My final output will be 720/25p
  Im gear:
  FCP 5.1
  G5 quad 2Gig RAM, 1T scsi
  AJA KONA not sure if its 2 or 3
  sony hdw- m2000P

  My question:

  Can I capture this 1080/25p at 720/25p?
  As my final putput will be 720/25p i think it will be better to capture at this frame rate and size, also the machine will go faster as well working on 720/25p.

  Is there a way to do this coz I cant find 720/25p setting.
  do I have to capture 720/24p and convert into 25p? if so, how?
  or do i have to capture 720/50i and speed up to 25p?

  Or Is possible to downconvert 1080p into 720p directly from the VTR?

  Hi,
  I’ve figured out that FCp doesn’t handdle native 720/25p.
  What solution do I have except edit in 1080/25p.
  How Can I output 720/25p? Do I have to use a specific codec for that
  purpose? DVCPro HD?
