    Hi folks!

I could really use your help. I have taken on a project that was shot on HDV at 1080i at 24p, 16:9 anamorphic. How do i create an easy setup and is it possible to capture this footage in FCP. My system meets the requirements for HDV. I rented a deck for $200 and wasn’t able to capture any footage. Before I rent again, i was hoping for some solid advice.

    Thanks!

Final Cut does not support HDV at 24p

To use HDV at 24p in FCP you will neeed Lumiere HD

Or… Here’s an idea. Nothing says you can’t capture to another codec from your machine. My suggestion is to hook up your machine and capture using the DVCPRO HD codec. Its much friendlier than HDV and much more realtime effects than HDV.
