Boy, I have one of those Firmtec SATA enclosures with 4 drives in it, and g-dam! Even with the internal fan it seems to run really hot. I took one of the drives out this morning and it was almost too hot to handel. Any ideas on how to cool this thing down?

    Have a wonderful day.

I think it is a bit on the hot side for the gear. But they do seem to get hot even if it’s 72 degrees.

Might consider what Walter B. did… put it in an enclosed space like a mini closet he built, then he ran an A/C duct right to the space.

    Hey Jerry,

As a stopgap (hopefully) I went down to Target and got a little Vornado Fan, blowing into the back of the unit, let’s see what that does…

    Have a wonderful day.
