Video on the Fly
What programs are available today that you can download footage and insert video and picts on the fly.
We have an event coming up that we will be setting up a plasma display hooked upto to a mac pro intel duo. What we’d like to do is download video and picts at the same time. Then without any editing of any sort be able to flip from say iphoto doing a ken burns type of effect on the picts to say quicktime playing the video footage. We want it to flow seemlessly. I know I could do this with 2 laptops and a video controller but is there a way to it all together without the controller?

This is quite a bit like a VJ setup, so you should have a look at VJ apps like:

https://www.troikatronix.com/All these apps allow mixing images with video, including effects, transitions, movement etc.
