  FCP 5.1 Licensing Error

  HELP, help help….

  i just tried upgrading to 5.1 after sending my discs to apple. i reinstalled the apps, entering my serial before installation. Then after installation, after i launch the upgraded 5.1, it asks me again for the serial. I enter it and it says “Licensing Error” and something about how i don’t have admin privelages (which i do!)

  WTF!!!

  anyonw know what to do? or have a number at apple so i can call them?

  this is soooo frustrating, so not only is FCP not working, but the entire suite…

  HELP!

  For now, try making another user w/admin privileges and see if that works.

  Just got off the phone with Apple Pro Support:

  Go to; /Library/Application/ProApps

  Delete all files that ends with System ID.

  It works!
