    Hi All,

I want to constrain a blur motion to a specific point in an image. I have an animated premultiplied 3D logo and want to apply a streak effect to a star in the logo. I rendered off a separate alpha channel for just the star. I then applied a blurmotion effect to the logo, using the star pass alpha as the matte. However, the efffect of the blur motion never leaves the logo’s alpha, i.e. it sticks within the star shape in the logo, ust bluring the pixels within the star shape.
I’ve tried using the effect on an adjsutment layer as I thought the premultiplied alpha in the logo might be causing problems but no luck. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Dom.

Mattes are added on top of the calculated effects/ pixel buffer. You need to pre-compose to get your desired result.
